30年以上にわたり、ウェブ、プリント、写真、マーケティングの分野でクリエイティブディレクターおよび実務者として活動してきました。インダストリアルデザインのバックグラウンドからスタートし、グラフィックデザイン、ブランディング、フロントエンドウェブデザイン、製品撮影まで幅広い領域で手を動かしてきました。Skunk2やAxialなどの自動車アフターマーケットおよびモータースポーツ分野でのブランド構築を通じて培った実行力が、現在の文化ブランド戦略や日米間の期待値管理の基盤となっています。

From Industrial Design Roots to Multidisciplinary Execution

I started with an industrial design foundation, which instilled a systems-thinking approach to form, function, and user interaction. This mindset carried through every subsequent role, whether designing physical products, digital interfaces, or complete brand experiences.

My path started early. In my early twenties I owned a shop in San Jose in the Bay Area, right as the import automotive scene was beginning to grow. From there it took me through ad agencies in Silicon Valley, the dotcom bust, and Chevron’s headquarters in San Ramon before eventually moving to Los Angeles. Being in L.A. during the peak growth and popularity of the import scene had that vibe that helped inspire the Fast and the Furious franchise. It was an exciting time. Living there also brought unexpected connections to the music world. The founder of the company I helped co-found owned Carmen Miranda’s former mansion in Los Feliz, which he converted into a music studio, and one of our Skunk2 project cars appeared in the Black Eyed Peas “Pump It” video.

Branding & Strategy

Style guides, creative briefs, and brand architecture have been central to my work for decades. I’ve developed and maintained visual and verbal identity systems that scale across print, digital, packaging, and environments while staying true to the core promise of the brand.

Print & Advertising

I have deep experience creating packaging, labels, brochures, event collateral, signage, business cards, and advertising across multiple industries. While comfortable with both bitmap and vector work, my strength lies in typography, illustration, and producing production-ready files that maintain brand consistency under real-world constraints.Key experience includes work for automotive aftermarket leaders and motorsports clients.

Digital & Web

Early front-end web design roles (including rebuilding sites for automotive aftermarket and motorsports brands) gave me a practical understanding of how design translates into code and user experience. I’ve created banner ads, rich emails, social assets, and UI/visual design, always with an eye toward how the digital experience supports the overall brand.I often collaborate with specialized developers and designers while maintaining oversight of the creative direction.

Photography

Product photography has been a consistent thread, particularly in the automotive aftermarket and motorsports space. I’m experienced with both Canon and Nikon DSLR systems, strobe and continuous lighting setups, and full post-processing workflows.

Marketing Director & Leadership Roles

Beyond individual creative work, I’ve served as marketing director and creative lead — building teams, managing campaigns, and ensuring that strategy, design, and execution stayed aligned. Founding and scaling brands in the automotive aftermarket and motorsports sectors required wearing multiple hats while maintaining high standards across every touchpoint.
